About Laszlo's Fencing

Laszlo's Fencing Club is a non-profit, community club based in the beautiful city of Durham in the North East of England. The club aims to develop fencing under the direction of Prof. Laszlo Jakab, a world class Hungarian coach, whose students have included Olympic, World and National champions. Many of his fencers who train in Durham are members of the Great Britain and Commonwealth teams. Prof. Jakab is an expert coach in all three weapons (though is world renowned for sabre), and the club caters for all three weapons accordingly.

The Club provides opportunities to all who are interested in fencing. People of any age and experience are welcome. We provide structured footwork sessions, blade work exercises and freestyle fencing as part of our regular training.
