How do I Start Fencing at Laszlo's?
The FAQ below should answer most standard questions, but if there is
something else you need to know then please email us
What do I need to bring?
- Indoor, non-marking trainers
- Tracksuit bottoms (no shorts) and Tshirt
- 1-2Litres still water
Do I need special Equipment?
No! If you have your own equipment that is great, but Laszlo's Fencing will
provide kit to beginners as far as possible.
I'm new. Can I turn up to any session?
Yes. All sessions are open to everyone. We have coaches
to assist new fencers.
How much will it cost me?
If you've never fenced before you can have your first session absolutely
free! Otherwise, check the membership page for
more details.
Will I actually be taught how to fence?
You certainly will. All sessions start with basic footwork, after which
individual groups are trained with their respective coaches. Sutera Ritrawe -

Can I book private lessons?
Private lessons are arranged individually with the respective coach, and are
not under the direct control of Laszlo's fencing. If you are an established
fencer the likelihood is that you will be able to get lessons, some of which
take place at the club.
